Sketchbook #1: Open/Closed Composition
Our sketchbook assignment was to create an open and closed composition of an item. Open composition means it's going off the page (image to the left), and closed composition is when the image fits in side the page (image to the right). Our requirements for this project was to include 3 of the four drawing techniques. I learned how blending really does make a difference in drawing, because it can help in shading and making things 3-D. I learned how to blend more evenly and this technique really helped me with my palm reader project.

|Sketchbook #2 Graffiti Object|
Our sketchbook assignment was to draw an object and add graffiti characteristics to it so it would become a graffiti drawing. I decided to draw a hot glue gun for this assignment. I added graffiti characteristics by adding bold lines to the hot glue gun, and adding paint splatters to the corners of the hot glue gun to try and add some sort of dimension to the hot glue gun. I also tried a Banksy "sort of" style by adding color to the hot glue only, and keeping everything else black and white.
Popcan Drawing
For this assignment we had to replicate a crinkled/crushed up pop can making sure we had texture, value, and contrast. We also need to add a horizon line so it didn't look like a popcan was floating in mid-air. The popcan was on a white paper so we could find its shadow and draw it.
