|Graffiti: Social Commentary|
For the Graffiti Social Commentary assignment we had to pick a topic that affect people (wether that was the whole world, or a small group of people). I decided to choose social media and how it pulls people away from society around them (war, government, taxes), and keeps them glued to their phone. In my drawing I put a girl on her bed floating in lava because a volcano erupted, but she doesn't notice anything because she is to attached to social media. I really like how I drew the volcano, because I was scared it would be to small or to big and just look weird. I would want to improve on how empty it looks. I look at this picture, and I feel like it needs something else in the sky so the sky won't be so empty.

Process
Practice
Graffiti Words
For our practice assignment we had to follow a video to make the peace graffiti word, and then had to choose our own word and make it a graffiti word.
Bunny Drawing
Our practice assignment was to watch a video on how to draw a Graffiti character. In the end we would end up with a bunny with a bunch of graffiti characteristics (bold lines, 3D, etc.).
Brainstorming
the brainstorm sheet was a tool we used to think of a bunch of different social commentary problems. We would then move to the otherside and sketch our top three social commentary ideas..
The image on the left is the backside of the brainstorming page where I drew my top three ideas on social commentary, and the image on the left in the first side of the brainstorming page where I though of a bunch of different ideas that repensent social commentary.
